Our History

Humble Beginnings

Bonollo's Provisions traces its roots back to World War II, operating as a small but well-established wholesale beef and provisions company in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Known for quality and reliability, the company served local businesses with fresh meats and essential provisions, laying a strong foundation for future growth.
nineteen sixties

A new chapter

In the late 1960s, Edward Mongeon, after a successful career with the Swift Company, took ownership of Bonollo's. At that time, the company operated with just four trucks and served 100 customers. Edward's commitment to prompt customer service and reliable delivery sparked a period of steady growth that would span more than 30 years.
nineteen nineties

Passing the torch

By the mid-1990s, Edward Mongeon retired, entrusting the family legacy to his two sons, Kenneth and Edward (Ted). During this period, Bonollo's experienced significant growth. Even after multiple expansions, the Woonsocket facility could no longer keep up with the company's expanding inventory and customer base.

Move to Providence

In response to increasing demand, Bonollo's relocated in 2001 to its current, larger warehouse in Providence, RI. The move provided a more centralized location and enhanced operational capacity— positioning Bonollo Provisions to better serve over 500 customers with a fleet of 20 trucks and an expanded product offering.

Today, Bonollo Provisions continues to thrive as a family-owned and operated USDA-inspected wholesale foodservice supplier. We offer a complete line of beef, chicken, pork, lamb, veal, deli items, prepared foods, and provisions— all processed and portioned to exact specifications.
